Armina Mussa Talks Unknown, Wyoming With Westwood Westwood

Back in June, our dear friend Armina Mussa sat down with Westwood Westwood to talk about what inspired Saint Heron, her new book Unknown, Wyoming, and more. “We were living in Brooklyn at the time and there was a lot of disgusting experiences we faced, honestly,” she reflected, when asked about the inception of Saint Heron. “It felt like the height of cultural appropriation and it was the first time I personally felt cruelly deprived of how our stories were being told.” The interview is packed with a lot of gems on the importance of diversity, her artistic vision, and entrepreneurship — and we’re excited to see the heights the creative mastermind has reached.

Watch the video she worked on with Nisa East below, and read the full conversation on Westwood Westwood.
