Kenzo’s Spring ’17 Ad Campaign Showcases Black Excellence

The world of Kenzo is bright and often times, there’s an injection of Afrocentrism. So much so, I always wondered if there was any melanin in the creative team behind the French fashion house. For their Spring 2017 ad campaign, they cast a strong collective of stylish black faces we all know and love. Actor and activist Jesse Williams, the equally beautiful and hilarious Tracee Ellis Ross and cellist/singer Kelsey Lu all grace the campaign pages with style and Black grace. The images were photographed by L.A. based set of twins, Jalan and Jibril Durimel and the campaign is accompanied by a short film. The film Music Is My Mistress was written and directed by Kahlil Joseph, and is set to premiere in Los Angeles on February 9th. Take a look at more of the campaign’s shots below.
