Remembering Webster Hall: The Players Ball with Lil Yachty

Legendary New York City venue Webster Hall appears to be closing down for “renovations” in August. While many of us are staying hopeful that the infamous lower Manhattan venue will return as a better version of itself, it’s safe to say Webster’s future is uncertain, at best. NYC residents who have a love for music like we do understand how much of a big deal this is — for artists who come here in hopes of “making it,” being booked at Webster Hall is pretty much a right of passage.

We’re sad to see the iconic concert hall bite the dust — but we’ll always remember good ol’ Webster as the site of big-hit events like “The Players Ball.” In last year’s “Mobbin With Lil Yachty,”  Electric Circus documented the Atlanta rapper’s visit to NYC and his debut performance at our showcase.
